ARTS AND REC Kids 

Come get Creative with our Kids/Teen Programs!

Our inclusive visual arts programs are designed to foster artistic expression, growth and socialization in kids and teens with disabilities.

Individual Art Classes: These personalized sessions provide a supportive environment for artistic exploration. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants can experiment with various mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpting, and mixed media. Each class is tailored to individual interests and abilities, encouraging self-expression and skill development.

Teen Drums Alive:

Drums Alive is an original and only evidence-based drumming fitness, health, wellness program that provides a “Whole Brain & Whole Body” 

workout which promotes physical, social, emotional, and cognitive health at all life stages. Using rhythm as a source of inspiration to discover a new group fitness experience Drums Alive® combines the benefits of a traditional physical fitness program with the brain affected benefits of music and rhythm.  Moving to music, students will learn steps of a routine while using a fitness ball and drumsticks. This is a fitness class that leads individual “ABILITIES” to endless possibilities, all while promoting health and fitness on the following levels:  *Students should wear appropriate fitness attire and sneakers.

​​​​Multi-Media Classes: Art History, Art Technique, Historical (Calendar) Inspiration, Time Period: Each visit  we will be offering a unique multimedia art project.  The instructor will give step by step instructions for each project.   The instructor will talk about art history, artists or technique based on the project for that day.  We will use tools such as paint, pencils, markers, clay, watercolors and much more.  Each participant will have the opportunity to learn about and create wonderful masterpieces.
