
Free Respite Care for Adults with Disabilities
Respite Days
The “Arts and Rec” Respite program offers free respite care for adults with disabilities who are supported by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) of South Coastal and Plymouth DDS. This program is free for individuals who live at home and do not have AFC.
This program is Thursday (9:30 AM - 1:30 PM), Friday and every other Saturday (Both 9 AM - 1 PM) for ages 17+.
The Kids Saturday Funday is 9:30 - 11:30 ages 6-16.
Both these programs are funded by the Department of Developmental Services. South Coastal and Plymouth area DDS offices. In partnership with South Shore Support Services and Plymouth County Family Support.

Funded by Plymouth DDS office (Plymouth County Family Support (agency with money) and South Coastal DDS (South Shore Support Services) through APRA Respite funding, this program provides:
Engaging activities: Participants enjoy a variety of recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, music, and social interaction.
Experienced staff: Our caring and compassionate staff are trained to provide individualized support and ensure the well-being of each participant.
Temporary relief for caregivers: Enjoy a much-needed break while your loved one receives quality care in a safe and supportive environment.

Eligibility:
Adults with disabilities supported by DDS Plymouth County Family
Individuals fall under Plymouth DDS (Plymouth County Family Support) or South Coastal DDS (South Shore Support Services). This program is free to participants who live at home and do not have Adult Foster Care. The funds come from the APRA Respite funding.
Caregivers require temporary relief
This program is completely free of charge.
