Free Respite Care for Adults with Disabilities
Respite Days
The “Arts and Rec” Respite program offers free respite care for Individuals with disabilities.
ADULTS
We provide 4 hours of varied activities, such as art, movement, ADL, book club, and cooking. We work on social and communication skills among others. We also provide lessons on community and current events. We plan a monthly community outing using a transportation company to take us to many different places. The individuals are really engaged and have formed a great community here. There is a monthly community outing using a transportation company to take us to many different places.

This program is Thursday (9:30 AM - 1:30 PM), Friday and every other Saturday (Both 9 AM - 1 PM) for ages 17+.
KIDS
The Kids Saturday Funday is 9:30 - 11:30 ages 6-16.
We provide 2 hours of varied activities, such as art, movement, and social skills. We also provide lessons on community and current events. This is a great place to learn, grow and meet new friends!
Both these programs are funded by the Department of Developmental Services. South Coastal and Plymouth area DDS offices. In partnership with South Shore Support Services and Plymouth County Family Support. It is free those who are supported by these two offices, live at home and do not have AFC
Funded by Plymouth DDS office (Plymouth County Family Support (agency with money) and South Coastal DDS (South Shore Support Services) through APRA Respite funding, this program provides:
Engaging activities: Participants enjoy a variety of recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, music, and social interaction.
Experienced staff: Our caring and compassionate staff are trained to provide individualized support and ensure the well-being of each participant.
Temporary relief for caregivers: Enjoy a much-needed break while your loved one receives quality care in a safe and supportive environment.
